A 6152 m² plot of land in El Castillo near La Fortuna with an adjacent river is for sale.

The property is located in the hilly, green landscape above the village and impresses with its breathtaking, unobstructed view of Lake Arenal and the Arenal volcano.

A 40 m², approved lodge has already been built, for which there is a well-running holiday rental business, as well as an expandable website. There are also plans for an extension of 240 m², which have already been approved.

The lodge is simple, built with a lot of love and has everything that holiday guests, long-term tenants or new Costa Ricans need.

A fully equipped kitchen, a shower room with hot water (drinking water) via a gas boiler and a bedroom with a double and a single bed. The great view is also guaranteed from the bed, thanks to the large PVC panoramic windows with mosquito protection from Extrallum. There is a covered, tiled terrace in front of the bedroom. A concrete path runs along two other sides of the house.

The lodge is built with 3D panels from Panacor. It consists of a three-dimensional steel structure with a core made of self-extinguishing, expanded polyol foam. The excellent structural properties ensure thermal and acoustic insulation. The structural behavior was assessed based on the criteria of the Seismic Code and the ACI standards, which should not be ignored near a volcano.

The one-year-old solar system, which is installed on a separate house, makes the property completely self-sufficient. This 8 m² house also serves as a storage room.

The large main platform on which the lodge stands is planted and well-maintained and would be ideal for an infinity pool on the front edge towards the lake and volcano. There is a parking space for cars at the back of the house. Another, smaller platform in the jungle, towards the associated river, has already been prepared for further construction work.

The property was purchased as part of an investment project. The idea behind it is that the holiday lodge is co-managed by the owner of the entire area – which has several small accommodations, a restaurant, a spa and retreats attached.

There is also the option of joining the community, which has great opportunities and ideas, such as permaculture.
